Doctors

Pamela D. Lundberg, O.D.

Dr. Pamela D. Lundberg is a graduate of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She started Lundberg Vision Center in Williamsburg in 1994. With a concentration on customer service and quality products the practice grew and moved to the current location which has since been re-named Williamsburg Eye Care.

She places great importance on the doctor patient relationship. The variety of vision and eye health problems and the uniqueness of each patient give her joy in her profession.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, past board member of the Virginia Optometric Association, past president of the Tidewater Optometric Society and member of the Virginia Academy of Optometry. Dr. Lundberg is an InfantSEE® provider, the eye care provider for Eastern State Hospital and a volunteer provider for Olde Towne Medical Center. A charter member and past-president of the James City Lions Club, she participates in vision screenings for Headstart and James City County Schools and provides eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need who are referred through her Lions Club.

She resides in Toano with her husband and son and enjoys running, gardening and camping.

Richard K. Lodwick, O.D.

Dr. Richard K. Lodwick completed his undergraduate studies at Bluffton University in western Ohio, earning a B.A. in Biology/Pre-Medicine. He completed his Doctorate in Optometry at The Ohio State University College of Optometry in Columbus, OH. While there he led efforts to work with The Ohio State University and University of Cincinnati athletic departments to assess the visual needs of athletes and was recipient of the Lyle AJ Gassmann Memorial Award, given to the graduate best exemplifying Dr. Gassmann’s humanitarian characteristics, leadership qualities, and service to others. He is licensed by the states of Virginia and Ohio and a member of the American Optometric Assocation, Virginia Optometric Association, serving on the Board of Trustees for 2009-2015 and chairing their Annual Conference on Continuing Education, and Tidewater Optometric Society.

His expertise is in primary eye care from infants to geriatrics. Specific interests include visual disorders of the eyes and visual pathways, contact lenses including astigmatic and multi-focal, and diagnosing and treating diseases of the eye including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, inflammations and infections. He routinely participates in the InfantSEE® program developed by the American Optometric Association and volunteers at Olde Towne Medical Center providing care for the uninsured.

He resides in Williamsburg with his wife and three children and is an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Williamsburg, serving on the Board of Directors ’08-’10, is on the Board of Directors at Avalon and is Charter President of The Ohio State University Alumni Club of the Historic Triangle. He enjoys family and outdoor activities, including sailing and trail running.

Staff

Aryelle joined Williamsburg Eye Care in 2016 as part of our clinic team. As part of this team, she helps coordinate each patient encounter and works closely with our doctors during your visit, performing needed tests to help in the assessment of your ocular health. Having a fun and outgoing personality she enjoys spending her free time by taking her lab to the beach. She further enjoys snowboarding in the winter and kayaking in the summer.

Beth has been a member of our team since 2016. As one of our receptionists, she is one of the first people you’ll speak to and one of the first to welcome you. She performs all aspects of the front desk, including scheduling appointments, checking patients in and checking them out at the conclusion of their visit. She further helps to verify medical and vision insurance and associated benefits. Away from the office she enjoys time with family and friends, baking, walking and photography.

Crystal is our licensed optician. Originally from Williamsburg, she has been with Williamsburg Eye Care since 2007 and is responsible for all aspects of our optical dispensary and optical lab. As our licensed optician she is responsible for receiving and processing lenses prior to notification and for finishing lenses in our in-office lab prior to dispensing. She enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Denise is our office manager and has been part of our team since 2001. She earned the title of Certified Paraoptometric in 2002 and later Certified Paraoptometric Assistant. In 2006 she was awarded “Paraoptometric of the Year,” a statewide award given to the staff member who has made worthwhile contributions to the profession of eye care and the general public. She and her husband have two sons and three grandsons, which occupies much of her time outside of the office.

Erika is one of our certified paraoptometric technicians, who has been with us since 2013. She works closely with our doctors to ensure that patients’ needs are met throughout their visit. Additionally, Erika oversees our contact lens department. She continues to take a more active role in supporting patient care, something she takes a special interest in. In her free time she enjoys being with family, reading, and crafts.

Jennifer began her second career with Williamsburg Eye Care in 2011. She has a background in secondary education and earned her paraoptometric certification in 2013. Jennifer is one of our lens experts, working within our optical department to help patients select the appropriate eye wear for all of their visual needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and husband, walking on the beach, knitting, and cooking.

Katie has been with Williamsburg Eye Care since 2016, working in our clinical department. As part of this team, she helps coordinate each patient encounter and works closely with our doctors during your visit, performing needed tests to help in the assessment of your ocular health. She is currently studying to receive her certification as a paraoptometric. In her free time she enjoys her family, visiting wineries, and going to sporting events.

Marie has been with Williamsburg Eye Care since 2016. She is one of the first to welcome you and as one of our receptionists performs all aspects of the front desk, including scheduling appointments, checking patients in and checking them out at the conclusion of their visit. She further helps to verify medical and vision insurance and associated benefits. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, cooking and playing kickball.

Pam has been with Williamsburg Eye Care since May 2012. As one of our receptionists she performs all aspects of front desk including scheduling appointments, receiving you upon your arrival and at the conclusion of your visit. She further helps to verify medical and vision insurance and associated benefits. When not at work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting craft shows, wineries and various festivals.

Samantha is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant, joining our practice in 2009. While she is cross-trained in all aspects of the office, her primary focus is in the optical department where she oversees frame purchasing, specializes in frame repair, and lens design. Samantha was born and raised in New Kent County, where she currently lives on a growing mini-farm with her husband, their 2 boys, and three dogs. She has served as the Vice President for the James City Volunteer Rescue squad since 2007 and enjoys vacations to the beaches of North Carolina and the mountains of West Virginia.

Shenna is one of our lens experts, specializing in fitting eye wear, frame repair, adjustments and choosing the appropriate lens options for all your visual needs. After spending nearly more than a decade living in North Carolina, she made her way back to her hometown of Williamsburg to pursue a career in the medical field. Currently, she is studying for her certification as a paraoptometric. In her free time she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Tina is our insurance and billing specialist and has been with Williamsburg Eye Care since 2008. She is certified as a Paraoptometric Assistant and a previous “Paraoptometric of the Year” recipient, given to the staff member who has made worthwhile contributions to the profession of eye care and the general public. Tina is very knowledgeable in answering your insurance questions. Her favorite pastimes are spending time with her four grandchildren and singing in her church choir.
