How to Recycle Glasses and Contact Lens Packs

Don’t just throw those used contact lenses and wrappers in the trash, save them and bring them to our office for recycling through TeraCycle. It’s as easy as placing an empty tissue box on your bathroom vanity and when it’s full, bring it in and we’ll place your used contact lenses and blister packs into our recycling bin.

Contact lens boxes can be recycled through your normal recycling center.

Eyewear

Eyeglasses are recycled through our office by the James City County Lions Club. Donated frames and lenses are sent to a facility in Newport News where they are cleaned, the prescription is verified, and then cataloged. Eyeglasses are used for mission trips throughout the world and here in Virginia.
