Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Our doctors provide the most comprehensive examination of the eye, visual system and ocular health to ensure that you are visually fit. As part of your eye examination our doctors assess your retinal health. The retina is the posterior (back) portion of the eye and is the only place in the body where arteries, veins and nerves can be viewed directly, thereby providing a direct picture of your vascular health. Many diseases of the body can manifest within the eye, including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and autoimmune disorders. All examinations assess depth perception, coordination of eye movements, screening of visual field, visual status, and external and internal assessment of ocular health including risk of developing glaucoma.
Our doctors examine toddlers greater than 12-months-old to geriatrics. Infants less than 1-year-old are assessed through the InfantSEE® program. More information can be found at InfantSEE.org and the InfantSEE Patient History Form can be found on our website.
